About the Book

Maddy’s Sash is a story of a young girl who connects with her Métis roots while she spends time with her Moshôm, Kohkom, and their special dog Max. Maddy has many adventures at her grandparent’s farm in northern Saskatchewan, including an exciting berry-picking excursion, a dramatic canoe trip, and a rollicking barn dance! While on her grandparents’ farm, Maddy learns the enduring love and strength of her Métis family. Kate Boyer’s illustrations add a sense of whimsy to this charming book.
