- Details
Saskatchewan Book Awards’ 2025 Shortlist Announcement, held over noon-hour at the Regina Public Library, on Friday, March 21, 2025, drew an eclectic group to its lead event of the 2025 book award season. Amber Christensen, Executive Director, Regina Public Library welcomed authors, publishers and patrons of the literary community who gathered in anticipation of the announcement.
This year, thirty-nine books, representing the best of Saskatchewan’s writing and publishing community were shortlisted in fourteen book award categories. Prizes for each award are $2,000, except for Book of the Year, which offers a $3,000 prize, and will be presented by award sponsors at the annual awards ceremony in May.
The Book Awards are not just about prizes. Saskatchewan Book Awards provide a space for Saskatchewan authors, and most especially for new and upcoming authors, as well as their publishers, to be honoured and promoted.
