Award Increase
Saskatchewan Book Awards is very pleased to announce that award winners this year
will take home a cheque for $2000, an increase of $500 over the prize
money previously offered.
"We consider this a
more appropriate recognition for the best of the very
considerable literary talent in this province," said SBA President Garrett
Wilson.
2003 Guest Speaker Announced
The Saskatchewan Book Awards have featured an impressive array of well-known literary
personalities as guest speakers at past banquets. This year we are delighted to
announce that Yann Martel, winner of the Booker Prize for his
novel, Life of Pi will headline the eleventh annual gala to be held on
Saturday, November 29 at the Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts, Regina.
