The Saskatchewan Book Awards celebrates, promotes and rewards Saskatchewan authors and publishers worthy of recognition through 14 awards, granted on an annual or semi-annual basis.
The Saskatchewan Book Awards promotes Saskatchewan’s authors and publishers at an annual awards gala, and throughout the year and throughout the province at Shortlist Readings, Salons and year-round displays of Saskatchewan books. The public events, and the awards process, generate interest, excitement, and pride for authors and publishers throughout the province, as well as providing authors with opportunities to meet their readers.
2010 Shortlist
Our 2010 Shortlist Press Conference was held simultaneously in Saskatoon and Regina. Regina’s event was held October 14 at Campion College, on the University of Regina’s main campus on Wascana Parkway. Saskatoon’s event was held at the same time and date at the Saskatoon Public Library.
In November, four Shortlist Readings were held, in Regina, Saskatoon, Weyburn and one rural northern location (TBD). The readings provide the opportunity for the public to hear from four of the 2010 shortlisted authors at each event, have their books signed, and purchase their books on-site.
